I've been nostalgic for those sugar panoramic eggs and decided to try to paint one for this month's contribution. I had such fun painting this piece!
Here's a close up:
Here's the flat scene:
and here's the sugar egg shell:
With the magic of Photoshop, I created the simulated 3-D effect.
Hope you enjoy your month of March ahead everyone! ~ Shirley
What a stunner Shirley, I love it. Happy nearly Spring ;0) x
ReplyDeleteFaberge should make this and Williams Sonoma should make one made of icing. Happy march, dearest Shirley! Tsup!
ReplyDeleteThat's a really lovely egg design, Shir! Very Easter! And Hoppy March to you too, as it's one of my favorite months (simply cause my birthday falls in it, lol). Cheers! :)
ReplyDeleteSo charming, Shirley!
ReplyDeleteOh Love! Big Love ♥ Your little animals are so sweet ... instant Happy Place. **kisskiss** Deb
ReplyDeleteHello, Sugar! Ces is right. I wish this was at Williams Sonoma so that I could have it in my house. I'd probably just keep licking it. And then nibble on those adorable critter ears. Except duckie. Duckie got no ears. Maybe I'll suck on its bill. So cute!!!! Good to see you back online. March on, and happy Friday to you!
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely darling, Shirley. I love the 3d effect. Sure wish I could learn photoshop. hee Your illustrations made me smile tonight. I've been battling flu-like symptoms since yesterday afternoon. :(
ReplyDeleteSo cute! :) But your group blog page doesn't work for me :(

ReplyDeleteYour work has always made me smile, Shirley. Happy March to you, as well!
ReplyDeleteHi, Shirley! Just wanted to say thanks for the visit and support as well. I share the same spirit of creativity as you, and I truly think it's an amazing time to be alive as artists and creatives from all around the world can keep touch with each other and learn from one another. So it's definitely important for for us to keep up that support of one another as much as our 'normal' lives allow, especially when keeping in touch is just a click away. I also wanted to thank you for the referral of that book, I am placing my order now and look forward to learning a lot from it. And if there was one thing I learned from the SCBWI conference, it's that writing is RE-writing. So enjoy the re-writing because it's as much a part of the process, if not more, than the actual first draft :)
ReplyDeleteYou always make such happy art, and this makes me feel especially happy to think that spring will come again. Thanks!
