  5. what an adorable pair! It looks like Bear may have just given Maggie that book, & is expectantly waiting for her reaction...or for her to read it to him!

  6. Yum nom nom nom, thinks the bear. I wonder if she is sweet, salty or tart? Hmn...I better not eat her or else I won't get illustrated again. And lest everyone I am weird, let me say this is a cuuuuuute illustration. You are the best watercolorist. What is yupo? Do you do that? Hehehehe! How are you? I bet you are busy with the coming holidays. As for me, I am busy writing rules for Obamacare (seriously). Ugh. My eyes are so dry from staring at the computer screen. I just rearranged my office furniture!!! All by myself. I opened my chi! Now I am eating Hawaiian bread rolls. Hahahahah! Now I need to add these microorganisms to the Infection control rule. Isn't that exciting?!!! Yeah right! HAVE A GREAT DAY, DEAREST SHIRLEY!!! TSUP!

  7. Oooohhh! I am like you. I fume. Okay. Forget the bad things. Be happy. Life is so unpredictable. You are a lovely woman. God bless you. Okay, I will be honest now and work. Tsup!

  9. All is well that ends well. Tsup!

P.S. Don't tell anybody: I hate pretenders. Now I am about to fix a broken rule some pretender wrote. But I am doing my best to take it easy. The manager who was my friend used to listen my fuming dissertations and complaints. She was a wonderful wonderful woman. She retired two months ago and two weeks ago, she got sick. In seven days, she died. She had advanced cancer. No one knew. She used to complain of back pain and I do too. So when she left, she gave me her chair. I am sitting in it now and I am looking at a photo of our original development group in 1997. I do not understand these things sometimes and I am not looking for answers anymore. I just do what I need to do and I love as much as I can. It is good to love good people. Take care dearest, Shirley :) Now my eyes are moist:) Tsup!

  10. This one is great, though I'm not sure if I'm hip to the characters. Is Maggie going to read to him? She sure has his full attention.

  16. Maggie is aaaaaaah so adorable! And with their little matching crowns. Such beautiful color throughout. And I do think she's just been given the book as a gift, and is forming her first impression of it at this very moment. The bear looks very much like the type who would know just what book to pick, so I am not worried!

  18. Shirley, can I just see my eyes were instantly drawn to the little crowns on Maggie and the bear? Oh my gosh, they are both such adorable characters! The beautiful hues come together perfectly to depict the fall. I love this illustration, my friend! :)
