Oooh Tickle Me Lusa. This is one cutie patootie illustration that is sure to delight children and adults who are like children like me! How do you these watercolors Shirley? They are amazing! I can only wish to do the same. I try and try... You are such an inspiration.

ReplyDeleteThis is two cute Shirley!... I mean “two” cute.... both of your characters and their expressions are wonderful! Brings back memories of the tickle fights I had with my kids when they were little. my oldest son now is 6foot4 and 230 lbs! I surrender before we start ;o) I like the way the background almost looks like the northern lights too! Love your work!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece, all the joy of water colour light and aery, the joy of the bears, that circular motif that leads the eye and the way you have weighed the faces with that upped contrast so we know exactly what the point of the whole piece is - the faces being a small mirror of the body language
