ReplyDeleteOh my Shirley Girl, you deserve zillions of awards! You, like so many of our friends make blogland so much fun and rewarding - it wouldn't be the same without you!
ReplyDeleteNow these two friends, so charming and sweet, I love how you captured the excitement & pride in that little bear! Oh, the library is one of my most favoritest places in the world, I know our whole staff - and good for you Bella, gettin' that card!
I love how the little friends are sharing a good book together, they are just so sweet, ah....the simple things in life are usually the best - thanks for the treat Shirley!
I love going to the library and sit down on the floor leaning on the bookshelf but the librarian always tells me to sit on the chair so I stopped going there and go to Barnes and Noble instead. Actually I could just stay at home and read all these books. It will take me more than my lifetime to finish them. I love books and our house is filled with them. I even have a book about books! I love the gilded edges, the leather covers and gold trims. I love the different types. I love the smell of printed books. Books are everywhere in my house except the bathrooms. I refuse to have books taken to the bathroom. Someone once did that and I threw away the book. Oh and I do not like paperbacks. You deserve all of these blog awards. All of them!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your awards!

Congrats on the awards!!!! I love your work!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Shirley! Just been 'round visiting a bit, when your comment came in - so great to hear from you, thanks a bunch for your visit! Yes, I am SO excited but very saturated with information. Please do click on the links whenever you get a moment, especially Marla Frazee, she is incredibly gifted. I bought a couple of her books that she signed. She also works in watercolor! I've been studying the 'Clementine' series she illustrated for early chapter books by Sara Pennypacker - all pen and ink, which is something I have to work on to develop the black and white portion of my portfolio. Well, thanks for your cheers Shirley, but I'm afraid you'll have a long wait to see my picture book, that's quite a ways in the future! And as for my 'good and evil' exercise, HA, that's long since gone to a landfill somewhere in MA!
ReplyDeleteMissed you too - hope you're doing well! xoxo
Thank you so, so much...
ReplyDeletelovely to hear back from you, it's really been a long time!
I'll sure start IF-ing soon.
Have a great weekend!
