ReplyDeleteGros bisous.
i love how each animal has its own mini story :D
ReplyDeleteAAAAAAAAAAAAH! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Fabuloso! What a great cast of characters. The driver in his tall hat -- Ha! And I LOVE all the iconic structures of London in the background too! This is such a fun painting, Shirley. Makes me so wish I were there.
ReplyDeleteGlad you had fun on your trip! Home again, home again, jiggity jog. Yay!
Love the little Potter-panda :)
ReplyDeleteOh Shirley you are a genius...the details here are so clever. This brilliant painting would sell so well in London. I think we will have a few more waiting at the bus stops soon and the driver will certainly be tested during the Olympics! You have captured our London so well, I just love this. If you ever come to London I will take you for afternoon tea and we will have to catch a route 15 bus as that is one of the old route master double deckers! They take me back to my childhood when all the buses were the old route masters :0)

ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
How adorable!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, this just kills me! I don't even know where to start. I think the two dogs, that one with the perfect expression on the corner and that much different expression and super size guard hat driving the bus. Oh! And the elephant - the little outfit and the flag in its trunk. The bus is super adorable and the background is so cool! I'll just stop there before I get *really* carried away. ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Each little character could have his own book! Very cute critters!
ReplyDeleteI love the little pig !!
ReplyDeleteFinally the details. They're oh-so-lovely! I can't wait to have this in print.

This is so wonderful! I loved seeing the whole piece, and then your captions about each character cracked me up. So charming.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrific illustration! It's so great that you posted each little character in detail. And I love the black and white look of the background contrasting with the bright colors in the front. You got a great red there, I must say!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The characters, the colors and everything!
ReplyDeleteJust fantastic. What a wonderful tribute to one of my favorite cities. I love all the detail and how each character has their own personality. Fabulous work as usual.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun personalities!! Each one with his/her own agenda!! So much to look at, and so spot-on British!! Really fun piece! I'm not sure if I like the jolly elephant or the cranky bus driver the best!
ReplyDeleteThank you, dear Shirley!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)))))))))))
ReplyDeleteIf someone like you tell me I'm a little crazy is a compliment to me, really! :))))))))

Heh, well I am grinning like a fool (normally I grin like a fowl) after looking at all your characters. Each has a life to lead outside of the image eh? I believe, I beleive. You know if I came by more often I have my wrinkles from gtrinning too much/ Heh. Thanks for filling my saturday with joy.
