Oh Yum Yum Yum! Missy Alligator is going to have a Duck a la carte tonight. Hehehe. That alligator looks so happy! Your watercolors are incredible! For several years we use to vacation in Florida during the spring and summer. We regularly went to Myakka Park where we can hear the alligators' calls. Sometimes there would be so many of them sunning and nearby, the cormorants are sunning themselves too!
Aaawww, I keep losing my comments because of the word verifications. I have to return and talk about Miss Alligator and her duck a la carte dinner. Tsup!
Shirley, A is for amazing! Because every one of your illustrations is just that--amazing! I love this little alligator! He can swim in the canals near my home any day! hee hee! :)
Hello! I just wanted to say hello and I see that my comments published. I don't know what happened but when I published them I received an error message. I came back here as promised but glad that my comment appeared!!!
So nice to see a swamp that sweet instead of spooky. I just love your Easter piece with the hidden pictures, too. And your piece for the Kraft competition on TDAC is wonderful! I think you should do a whole cookbook!
You know Shirley, I swear you paint like a dancer, how your brush flitters effortlessly across the page like a pair of ballet shoes across a stage. Of course I know that is a result of many years of hard work - but you make your work so delightful and light filled and wonderful it gets really really annoying :) :) for us mere mortals.
heh :) You know I am kidding abouty the 'annoying' part of course. But the sweep in this and the delicate scumbling exposure of the white paper and the composition which is 'just so' ......! I'm giving it six stars out of five :)
This is so beautiful and dreamy, green and lovely - wonderful work!
