Hello March...and a giveaway at www.welovetoillustrate.com!

Thank you everyone for your kind and fun visits here at the blog. It is truly a treat for me to visit all of you, too...all I know is that I'm continually inspired by what I see on the blogs in terms of energy, good will, and such amazing creativity...it's inspiring, and I am taking those cues to heart and sketching each day to keep working toward my goals.

Also, I wanted to let you all know that in honor of thanking our kind followers, the ladies at www.welovetoillustrate.com are hosting a mini-print giveaway...click here to see Julissa, Nina, Jennifer, Bee, and Cally's fabulous designs and enter for a chance to win. Here's my little baby bunny illlustration in honor of the Year of the Rabbit. Cally had a keen idea that it might make for a fun animal-alphabet series..I will need to start on that right away! : )

    Shirley I just LOVE your little bunny! What a sweetheart :) And what a beautiful new header for your blog too! I'd really love to see you do an animal alphabet series, I'm sure it would just give me a heart attack from all the cuteness hehe!

    Oh my goodness gracious how deliciously sweet and charming!!! Shirley girly, YOU ARE JUST THE BEST!!!! Honestly. Forgive me for yelling, but it needs to be yelled from the mountain top! You are awesomely talented with the gift of sight of course and creativeness, but also with the gift of inspiration. Your illustrations are powerful yet soft. Kind of like an iron firs in a velvet glove! It's amazing and healing all at the same time.
    Yes you can sit in my pew anytime. We would sit side by side drawing quietly and creative awesome characters. I would even let you hold my brand new tambourine! he he he he he!

    Oh Shirley, words fail me to describe how I LOVEEE your work... This bunny is so cuteee and sweet and fluffy! the colours are so amazing, the carrot looks so yummy in it's vibrant orange! also love the way that you arranged the text and the font choice. You are a genius!!!

    It's always a treat hearing from you cause I know you are up to your eyeballs in work. Which is a good thing, but when you take time out of your busy day to come by it means the world to me. Thank you so much for you very kind words. They are so encouraging. It was fun going back to the traditional media. I can't wait to do more like this. I am so excited to do more.
