Gung Hay Fat Choy! Happy New Year of the Rabbit (4709)

I just couldn't let the start of the new year pass without an illustration to celebrate the Year of the Rabbit (my daughter and Father-in-law's year). Here's a quick scene of Miss Bunny giving out laysee (red envelopes) to the Lion dancer with firecrackers in the background. This year, my littlest one will be the tail of the Chinese school's Dragon during it's New Year's celebration. She's really looking forward to it, and so am I!

  4. Happy New Year Shirley! Hope that all is well with you and the girls and you are happy. It's been such a long time since I have come to visit and I have just taken in all the beautiful illustrations that you have posted. They keep me inspired and as usual, take me to my whimsical peaceful word created by you. It's just something so very comforting about your illustrations. They are like a warm blanket and cocoa on a cold frosty day. They bring me such joy and transport me to a different place. I would love to see your work animated one day. It is just so awesome Shirley. Truly it is. It's wonderful. Thanks for stopping by to visit me. I have been so busy. We are still packing up our home to move to NC and it's so much going on right now, but all is well and I look forward to getting settled. Miss you something awful and I know I need to call. You are the best!
    Hugs

  13. I am late! I am late! Okay. I did not read the instructions well. About that pay-forward thing. May I just blow off the instructions and may I just have a free give-away? No tagging, no instructions, please? I was looking for you at Etsy. Do you have an Etsy store?
