Ah Shirley! What a wonderful little narrative! The end picture made me laugh so much :D Wow - my brothers did this to me (read my diary) when I was a kid and they never stopped teasing me about the boy I had a crush on hehehe! Such a cute little bear too... I love this SSSSOOOOO MUCH!
It was sure that he believed that a little book closed to key was more interesting than that :) ahahah! The last image is the best! ahahahah! :D hilarious!
: ) You all are SO WONDERFUL! I was hoping that I caught that last image well enough to tell a story. Thank you, thank you! You've all made my day!! : )
Don't worry, I am no FB expert either. In fact I may just be a weekender. I deactivated my account before but that's where the teenagers are hanging out and so it's a good thing to see what they are up to. They are very funny, so that's good. I will be stopping by now and then, not just posting. It lets me take some time back to do more oil painting. Have a great week Shirley!
I love your art. I think it's your ability to capture their expressions perfectly!
that's so great, I love it! I've been stumped on this one... great story telling, great expressions, great colors, ok, obviously I just think it is great...hahaha, did I break a record? That's just too many greats, but I have to go to bed now, so I can't rewrite this!
BAhahaha, this is adorable and so little brother, terrors that they are! Serve himself right being grossed out with all that yucky luvy duvy stuff! He he. x
Oh my goodness! This is just way too cute. I am much older than my sister and I never had to worry about things like that! Nor did I have a meddlesome brother! Fortunately for me. Thanks for sharing a little frivolity on a Monday morning! Theresa
Okay I can see a lot of people have found the same joy in this that I have. Shirley it's great how you have traced the range of actions climaxing with th final emotion. It's like a shaggy dog story, the 'bitter' anti climax for the protagonist is what gives us as the audience a laugh.
Serves him right we think - than you for the lesson in both comedy and beautiful and delicate water colour.
Shirley, Loooove it!! Your ability to capture the perfect facial expressions in a few brush strokes amazes me....such talent:) I always feel like I overwork it ?? Such a cute little story, that is so fitting in the end...serves the little guy right to be grossed out by "girly" talk after being so cheeky. :)
Shirley, this is so funny and so sweet at the same time! I love your characters and I think you really blow life into your illustrations. Thanks so much for sharing. x Eva

Thank you very much, Shirley. You're too kind. It always happens that we like what others do, and less what we do. I like how you paint. and tenderness of your pets. I may never draw something like that.

That last shot is priceless.... wraps it all up in a nutshell. Wonderful! Hey thanks for all the wonderfully kind and encouraging comments. You are a dear friend.
