I painted this little girl and her pup last night and got to the end, clicked off my lamp and managed to spill my whole cup of water all over the watercolor block. The entire image was soaked. I decided..."Oh, well..just go to bed" and this morning..it looked fine! A little softer, but still OK. I thought I'd post this in case anyone had that panicky feeling about what to do. Something told me not to touch it and I'm glad that I didn't 'cause I'm sure I would have messed it up. I have to thank my "lazy-factor" for this one. : )
Have a great rest of the week everyone!
So cute! I love this little girl! Just proves that sometimes accidents can turn in to something very good!

ReplyDeleteI started panicing for you as I read your blog. It was good you didn't cry over spilt water. If it was my mishap, It would have been coffee. I don't know if the ending would have been as happy....or maybe the painting would have looked a bit more ethnic :O) Great and wonderful little work of art by the way. You captured a little bit of innocence here. Thanks for stopping by and for your humorous and thought provoking and encouraging comments.

ReplyDeleteBackground gives depth to illustration and atmosphere is perfect for protagonist's expression.
