La musique dans la forêt – Illustration Friday (Music)
At least once a month, Monsieur Olivet serenades his community with a few of his favorite melodies. Berenger Bear, closes his eyes and gently waves his paw along with Monsieur.
Such a sweet illustration. I absolutely love this character, I really enjoy seeing his different adventures!! The way you've framed this composition is great I love how the leaves come out of the picture and the perspective is great!! fantastic work again!!! :0)
Ah yes! Music calms the savage beast, Even if he's not so savagy :0) . Monsieur is so talented. I love following his exploits. Very nice the way you put such depth into your work. I just love stopping by Shirley and I'm so glad you stopped by. Bon Jur :)
Bonjour Shirley! This is scene right out of a wonderful t.v. presentation indeed!!! I just love the views and composition of the whole page. It's wonderful and soft and very inviting! Great work Shirley. Wishing you wonderful Holiday and looking forward to hearing from you soon. Take care!
Thanks for your prompt reply Shirley. Don't worry, I will send the gifts when they are ready! Another charming piece to feast my eyes:) Love the tower and the friendly setting and it certainly makes music:)
Oh, Shirley! This is exactly what I want to do. I want to close my eyes and be lulled into dreams by the wee Monsieur's music. This is beyond enchanting! And I must tell you how much I LOOOOOOOOVE your Wild Things paintings. That is one of my favorite books, for sure, and seeing your adorable little Max was magical.
Thank you for your wonderful comment. Absolutely, honey. Buy the plot next to mine on de Nile! We'll talk with our string-can phones. :)
Ah Shirley, Your illustrations are classic. They remind me of the earlier chicldren's books which I love so much. You know I still buy children's books for the ilustrations alone? Happy Thanksgiving!
great effect with watercolor!!! amazing, it makes me feel nostalgia, when I had many books with colorfull pictures and staying for hours just lookin them.
beautiful painting, Shirley, a really nice mood and palette. Awesome! Thanks for feedback on my IF entry, "The Road to Snail Island!" (why is that picture "worrisome"? The drums? The weapons?!). I think I've loved the idea of giant snails every since reading Dr. Doolittle as a young lad ...
I want to be there with them! Your scenes are so magical and serene. This is not only beautiful, but full of warmth and characterization. Hope you're having a lovely holiday!
Oh my cute word, this is so lovely, the little mouse choir is adorable and Berenger Bear's sweet face says it all the musical melodies must be blissful.
Simply Adorable, Shirley.
