Oh dang! Shirley, this is so adorable. It tugs on my heartstrings. I used to do this to the kids, no I don't mean pretend to be a bear and dress them up as bears and then play peek-a-boo. I mean I did that.
Okay, I am just being silly with the pretend statement. Your drawing disarmed me and all of a sudden I lost all inhibitions.
Oh yes, those Fiesta dishes make theyr way even to the stairs. I wonder if your friend used to post at MediumGreen. Ask her if she ever posted at the old MediumGreen message board, I may know your friend.
Oh no! I have nothing. Mine are everyday dishes though a lot and my husband complains, I am no collector. I know those guys whose dishes spill into the living room, family room and stairs! I know them. They will spend thousands on a 53 cent spoonrest from the 1950's. Crazy! The most I have spent was $60.00 for a discontinued new coffee mug.
All I want to know is Where the heck where you Shirley when I needed fabulous pictures and unique art work for my daughter room!!!! Your illustration have such energy to them and it's so good. This is so comforting to me. It just something so sweet about. You may have dropped it like it was hot, but there is a whole lot of love and care in there. So sweet. You rock Dudette!
Okay, you just can't help yourself, can you? It's probably not even possible for your work NOT to be adorable...am I right, huh, huh? That's alright, I know I am. This is just too cute for words. I totally agree with Vanessa and Ces (I just love Ces' use of the word "dang," hee hee).
You have a wonderful week, my dear. I look forward to some more adorableness (is that a word?) :D
It's great to meet another illustrator! Especially one who works with fairy tales like myself! Feel free to stop by my site and see my newest illustration. Oh, and don't forget to enter my giveaway!
Shirley! of course I remember Marilyn. Tell her I still remember what msb stnd for because we used to exchange emails. She is soooo cool. She's one of the ones I liked. Always civil, polite and eloquent. Never got into heated arguments with the truly contentious and bellicose members. Please say hello to her for me. I hope all is well with her. Please tell her, the mention of her name makes me smile! Thank you!
It's adorable! So sweet and so light and airy! Love it!! :) Silke
