Ooooh! This is sooo beautiful! I love the color and the composition. The swirls are gorgeous and gives you such a great sense of movement. The Tango is such a sensuous and mysterious dance and your illustration is a wonderful depiction of this.
This is lovely! I love the colour, the movement and the little character. Just love it all!!! I'm now following your blog as I've had a look around yours and really enjoyed looking at your work!!
This one is really great (I had a bit of the same idea but no time yet to make it). I love the red and the shapes in it - it really represents the "hot and passionate" dance Tango.
Lovely. The swirls seem to emanate from the dancer. As if it is the brazen path she left behind her, and here, she takes a moment to look back. Longingly? Or perhaps, to understand what lay there?
Hey Shirley, thank you for the email- yeah I've been updating my blog these past few days and I suppose it was too much to expect that everything would run smoothly.
Thanks again though, love hearing from you.
BY the way, your work is fantastic. Like there's a wonderful story inside. Yum.
Wow! Excellent take for this week IF challenge Shirley! I really love the sweet rosy abstract background here:) Bold and romantic! She looks like waiting for her partner too:)
gorgeous colors in this one! i like your poll in the sidebar - this is a great question. In general, the more you can describe through your illustrations, the better. if you ever want to pick my brain about the world of children's book publishing, please feel free to email me!
To everyone who commented, I am thankful for your having taken the time to visit! Hope you're all having a great summer. Thank you again for your kind words!!!
Wow Shirley! This one is GORGEOUS. Love the swirling pattern and the red; a picture of the passion of the performance rather than the performance itself. ~ Alisa
