When I was a little kid in the 'burbs, I would hang out with my brothers and play in the gutter, yes, the gutter. It was quite fun to spend the lazy days of summer that way - watching the sticks and bugs drift away....
I thought this would also be a nice piece for all of the fathers out there - Happy Father's Day!!!
i really, really love your loose style. i feel like too refined always loses the life of the drawing - your piece has so much life! very nice. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is very lovely and charming!
ReplyDeleteOh yes--I spent a good part of my childhood doing exactly the same thing--and my kids did too. This is a wonderful, charming picture.
