Drifting - IF entry #8





When I was a little kid in the 'burbs, I would hang out with my brothers and play in the gutter, yes, the gutter. It was quite fun to spend the lazy days of summer that way - watching the sticks and bugs drift away....

I thought this would also be a nice piece for all of the fathers out there - Happy Father's Day!!!

    Oh yes--I spent a good part of my childhood doing exactly the same thing--and my kids did too. This is a wonderful, charming picture.

    And in answer to your question, of course I'll take my sketchbook with me.

    Really nice! Super cute
    I did it too. My kids would like to play the same way - but the run off is dry ten minutes after a rain... No time to get out there!

    Just followed a link from a link...I LOVE your sweet work! It took me 50 years to call myself 'artistic' because I don't draw or paint. :-( I so envy those of you who do. Keep up the great work.

    Hey...I did that too. We once found some oysters someone had thrown out. We opened everyone of them to find a pearl. No pearl. Love the watercolor illustration. Wonderful.
