Ever so wonderful work dear Shirley! Love, love hedgehogs and these are just adorable. Love the drawing of baby hedgehog! xox
Shirley, I am continually amazed by your ability to consistently create adorable creatures in your style. And I had no idea the hedgehog was common in Ireland! Happy St. Patrick's Day! I better go get some green on.
correction: own unique style . . . the comment was meant as a complement. I reread it and realized I should have phrased it a bit better.
Next to pigs hedgehogs are my fave creatures Shirley. We often call them hedgepigs and find them rooting around on hot summer's nights. Your drawing is just super cute. Happy St.Patrick's day too. Have a lovely weekend.Jane x
I had no idea! Hope you are having a lovely weekend. Yard work for me! Your post is adorable, as always. Great illo for TDAC too!
I just adore hedgehogs! Too bad they're illegal in CA. Adorable, adorable. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
So sweet, I love that blue. Every time I see it I think how much I love it. My daughter has a hedgehog and Myles has never "met" him, but is so obsessed with them. Everything is a hedgehog or a porcupine. He brought in one of those little prickly balls that come from Sycamore trees and said "look, I found a hedgehog"
I didn't know that, Shirley. I just adore hedgehogs. Such sweeties. Hope you had a really lovely St. Patrick's Day!!!
I didn't know that about the hedgehog! Cool. And lovely artwork, as usual!
Great. Love the shades. I didn't know that even hedgehogs love watercolors. Well, one never stops learning. Thanks for stopping by and even following, you've made my day with it. Have a great new week.
Your hedgehogs are adorable Shirley!!
Your are one of the few illustrators I truly admire. I think the hedgehog looks creepy in real life but you managed to make it look adorable. The print of the three bears on a life boat is soooooo adorable on your business card. gosh Shirley, you are truly a classic watercolorist. Your technique is perfect. It is both pleasant and pleasing to children and adults alike. My daughter appreciated every image she saw in your card and at one point mentioned something that sounded like this "Mom, can you do this?" I humbly replied "No." But I have a great consolation. You are my friend and I am yours. Thank you!!! Tsup!!!
What a sweet image! Mom looks so pleased with her gift! Adorable!
I didn't know that :)That little hedgehog creates beautiful illustrations and you too, this one makes me smile, it's an adorable scene.
Oh my gosh, Shirley. Way too cute. I love hedgehogs. You did a wonderful job. Hope you had a lovely St. P's day. :) Hugs
Hope you had a blessed St. Patty’s day Shirley! I’m loving your Hedgehogs!... and I didn’t know that they were found in Ireland! Hmmmm ...learn something new every day :o)

I really love your work Shirley, your animal characters are so adorably cute, loving these hedgehogs! :)
Popping in again to see what you've been up to. I love your characters. You always bring such life into them with that brush! Have a great week and weekend!
Oh don't you just love adorable Irish Hedghogs? Well I do now that I have seen your drawing of them :) Oh boy, this sings because of the way the mum and the child are looking at each other, the facial expressions again make me all gooey and clucky (which is dangerous) , But seriously, you've captured the moment here. Happy Belated Saint Patrick's Say! :) Dhá slisní aráin le cáis leáite agus a sprinkling de seamróga - an traidisiúnta na hÉireann phróca Mister
