When you have a song in your head...

.....you just have to get it out sometimes. : )
Here's my ode to Train's If It's Love. Some of the lyrics that got to me and made me smile:
I wanna buy you everything except cologne 'cause it's poison.
~
I love you from your toes to your face.
~
I love the creativity of lyricists/songwriters - I have such an appreciation for well-written songs, and another for plays (my daughter is in her very first play this year). I say, if you're inspired, pick up a pencil/pen, a stick, draw in the dirt - have fun and be in the moment.
I am trying to do so each day on this journey called life.

Thanks everyone for all of your kind visits - and for indulging me with this post (if you've read this far!)...you're the best! ~ Shirley

  7. Of course, I read to the end! It's a wonderful illustration. Music means so much to me, as well - most especially songs with amazingly heartfelt lyrics. They are the ones that will last... Have a great weekend! Theresa

  10. Hey Shirley! Isn't it cool how music and art are so entwined? Music is so inspiring and mood changing. I think a true artist is not one who sets out to do a certain "project", but one who lets music and nature and smells direct their creativity. You certainly let love and music direct you here my friend. Great lines and composition. You are such a talent!

  11. Yes! I so agree. My ears will catch a phrase in a song and it inspires what I write, draw even conversation...which then influences my mood, my day. :) So glad you visited me and appreciate your kindness.
